That's up to you. You can set some quests as simply expected and others as reward-earning, so kids earn toward a goal without every single chore becoming a transaction.

Put the expectation somewhere they check instead of repeating yourself. When chores are quests a child can see and tick off, the app does the reminding — so you get to stop being the nag.

EXP levels kids up (status and avatar unlocks). Gold is the currency they spend. Stars rate how well a job was done and boost the gold earned.
